Our main service is comprehensive assistance with the entire process of
settling in New Zealand
as permanent residents. We also handle all other kind of visa applications,
including work, student and visitor’s and returning resident’s visas and
permits.
For the
purpose of obtaining permanent residence and settling in New Zealand, we
normally follow the procedure below:
- The first step is to determine
whether you qualify for permanent residence. This is done by means of information
seminars and personal interviews at no charge. If you are not able
to attend a seminar or a personal interview, we will do the initial
assessment via a questionnaire. During the
initial assessment we will inform you about your chances of qualifying for
residence, the complexity of your application, likely time frames in your
case, your employability in New Zealand
and the total cost involved. If you qualify for residence in New Zealand
the following scenarios may be possible:
- You may qualify for permanent
residence outright and may apply for residence (Family or Investor Category),
or you may qualify to submit an Expression of Interest to apply for
residence in the Skilled Migrant Category, or to apply for a Long Term
Business Visa, possibly leading to application for permanent residence
later in the Entrepreneur Category.
- You may need to have your
qualifications assessed first. We will advise you on whether this will be
necessary in your case. If an assessment is necessary, we will prepare
and lodge the application for assessment on your behalf in a proper and
well-documented manner to ensure the most favorable assessment possible.
- You may need an offer of
employment before being eligible to qualify for permanent residence. In
this regard we will be able to assist with finding employment, depending
on your employability in New Zealand.
We are not recruitment agents and we do not promise to find you a job as
part of our service, but we work in association with reputable
recruitment agents.
- You may need to register with a
professional board in New
Zealand even before being eligible to
apply for residence. We will handle the registration process on your
behalf. This process on its own is frequently complicated, requiring
multiple documents and procedures.
- In some cases
a temporary work visa or permit will be necessary in order to start
employment while waiting for the permanent residence process to be
completed. It will not always be possible to arrange a temporary work
visa in all situations. We will therefore advise you on the likelihood of
success in your case, prepare the necessary documentation and apply for
the work visa or permit on your behalf.
- There is a long list of
documents that have to accompany your application for New Zealand
residence. There are also multiple actions that have to be undertaken
before being able to lodge your application for residence. Some of these
can take quite a while, and dealing with the local authorities could be a
daunting task. It is important to initiate certain actions as soon as
possible. We provide comprehensive assistance in obtaining the necessary
documentation that has to accompany your application, in order to minimize
the time, costs and frustrations involved. Wherever possible we act on
your behalf to obtain the necessary documentation at no additional charge.
- We complete the official
application forms and submit a properly prepared and argued application to
the New Zealand authorities.
- We deal with any inquiries from
the New Zealand authorities and keep you informed.
- After approval by the New
Zealand authorities we arrange to obtain residence visas for you and your
family members.
- The New Zealand Immigration
regulations change from time to time. We are able to advise you about
these changes and how to maximize your chances of acceptance.
During the
process of preparing to emigrate from your home country, we will provide you
with information and assistance, including the following:
- We will advise you, taking into
account your personal situation, on dealing with your bank, the Receiver
of Revenue and furniture removal companies when exporting your furniture
and obtaining your travel and emigration allowances. We are able to advise
you under which circumstances it would be better to export your personal
belongings.
- We will supply you with
information and hints on what to do with life-assurance policies,
firearms, pets, etc.
- In may cases one person in the
family will travel to New Zealand first to find employment, while the
spouse and kids will stay behind and travel to New Zealand a few weeks or
even a few months later. The person staying behind will have numerous
questions on winding up personal matters. We will be able to supply
accurate advice on these matters, helping to keep the stress levels down
for both the person already in New Zealand and the spouse
that is staying behind.
We can also
assist you with the settling-in process:
- Arranging for you to be picked
up at the airport.
- Arranging temporary
accommodation and car hire for the first few days or weeks, depending on
your needs.
- Supplying information on
schools, housing, buying a car, opening a bank account, obtaining
financing for a home, car or other loan, obtaining short- and long term
insurance, etc.
In order to
achieve the above we will also supply you with a comprehensive and up-to-date
report, covering the above mentioned topics and more. This report was compiled
after years of own experience and research, as well as feedback from our
existing clients. It includes the opinions of various experts in their
respective fields, and definitely has the potential to save you thousands of Rands that would otherwise have been wasted.
